How We Set Health Initiatives: Community Health Assessments

Henderson County conducts a Community Health Assessment (CHA) every three years. Through comprehensive data collection, analysis and community engagement, the CHA identifies key health needs and issues in the county. In turn a Community Health Improvement Plan is created as a guide to address the identified Health Priorities.

Improving Community Health: WNC Healthy Impact

The WNC Health Network, through their initiative, Western North Carolina Healthy Impact, provides support to the local health department throughout the Community Health Assessment cycle for community health improvement.
