This priority stems from the ability to prevent and manage many chronic conditions through public health initiatives and community efforts that promote healthy behaviors and policies, improve access to care, and address social determinants of health like food insecurities, unhealthy diets and lack of physical activity.

The Henderson County Housing Coalition aims to build a comprehensive understanding of the local housing landscape, ensuring that gaps and opportunities are clearly identified.
Collaboration will be at the heart of this work. The coalition seeks to raise awareness, engage stakeholders, and offer practical ideas for how individuals and organizations can contribute. Through identifying barriers, developing solutions, and recognizing the interconnectedness of housing with broader health and well-being priorities, the coalition will work to create a localized, coordinated approach that strengthens housing stability and affordability across Henderson County.

HCBHC Conference
Join us for the 2026 Henderson County Behavioral Health Conference as we explore our theme, Connected for Impact, and guide participants through a fun National Parks–inspired journey of learning, connection, and collaboration.
This full-day, community-wide conference focuses on improving mental health, substance use, and behavioral health outcomes in Henderson County. Participants will engage with evidence-based practices, practical skills, and collaborative strategies aligned with the Community Health Improvement Plan.
