Heartsaver Basic First Aid CPR AED

What: HCDPH offers Community American Heart Association Heartsaver® Basic First Aid CPR AED Training‍! ‍

Heartsaver® First Aid CPR AED teaches participants to provide first aid, perform CPR, and use an automated external defibrillator (AED) safely and effectively. 

The Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED Course is designed for anyone with little or no medical training who needs an OSHA-compliant course completion card—or anyone who simply wants to be ready to respond in an emergency. Registration is required, link below.

What does this course teach?‍ ‍

Heartsaver Basic First Aid CPR AED teaches the lifesaving skills of first aid, CPR and AED including:

  • First aid basics

  • Adult CPR and AED use

  • Choking help for an Adult, Child & Infant

  • Drowning response and prevention

  • Opioid-associated life-threatening emergencies

Upon completion of all course requirements, participants receive a Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED Course Completion Card which is valid for two years.
