What: American Heart Association Heartsaver® CPR AED teaches participants how to perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation and use an automated external defibrillator (AED) safely and effectively. The course is based on the latest science-based guidance from the American Heart Association. What does this course teach?
Heartsaver CPR AED covers essential lifesaving skills, including:
Recognizing the signs of a heart attack or stroke
Adult CPR and AED use
Child CPR AED and Infant CPR
Choking relief for adults, children, and infants
Drowning prevention and response
Opioid-associated life-threatening emergencies
Upon completion of all course requirements, participants receive a Heartsaver CPR AED Course Completion Card which is valid for two years.
