AHA CPR AED

What: American Heart Association Heartsaver® CPR AED teaches participants how to perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation and use an automated external defibrillator (AED) safely and effectively. The course is based on the latest science-based guidance from the American Heart Association. What does this course teach?‍ ‍

Heartsaver CPR AED covers essential lifesaving skills, including:‍ ‍

  • Recognizing the signs of a heart attack or stroke

  • Adult CPR and AED use

  • Child CPR AED and Infant CPR

  • Choking relief for adults, children, and infants

  • Drowning prevention and response

  • Opioid-associated life-threatening emergencies

‍Upon completion of all course requirements, participants receive a Heartsaver CPR AED Course Completion Card which is valid for two years.‍ ‍

Where: Henderson County Department of Public Health Classroom. 1200 Spartanburg HWY, Hendersonville, NC. Enter via Immunization Clinic entrance, classroom to the left, 2nd door on the right.‍ ‍
