Mental Health
All people in Henderson County are resilient, supported, healthy and productive.
Mental health has been a CHA priority for Henderson County since 2003. Access and quality of mental health services have been a source of concern for many years.
Mental health and physical health are closely connected. Mental illnesses, such as depression and anxiety affect people’s ability to participate in health-promoting behaviors. In turn, problems with physical health, such as chronic diseases, can have a serious impact on mental health and decrease a person’s ability to participate in treatment and recovery. Mental illness can affect anyone, of any age at any time in their lives.
